Preschoolers Get Ready To Go in Townsville
After the successful launch of Ready Steady Go Kids in Townsville in 2011, the local team are pleased to be offering additional classes on Tuesday afternoons and Sunday mornings from Term 1 this year. The new classes will help satisfy popular demand for the program. Ready Steady Go Kids is Australia’s largest and most reputable multi-sport program for preschoolers (aged 2.5–6 years). The program teaches children the fundamentals of 10 different sports in a fun, non-competitive, structured environment. If you and your preschooler haven’t already experienced the benefits of this program, now is the perfect time. PIPA (Preterm Infants Parents Association) was formed in 1980 to provide a support network for the families dealing with the Premature
birth of their baby in Queensland and Northern New South Wales Hospitals. For over 25 years this work has been carried on by a large number of volunteers whose lives have been touched and changed by a premature birth.
It is the aim to support parents and be a place where parents can find information on all things relating to their premature baby.
This is run by volunteers & we are parents who have experienced first hand dealing with a prem. We have Morning Teas/Playgroup to support
local parents of prems till school age in Townsville QLD.We have a play in the toy room then have a relaxing cup of coffee & morning tea.
Its great way to meet other prems & hear of their stories & see your not alone, there is others that fully understand what you have or are going through with your premmie. We also can do hospital visits for new parents if they would like a chat or some support before leaving hospital.
We meet Wednesdays Fortnightly at Ronald McDonald House Townsville 9-11am.Come along, we love meeting new parents & prems.
I also sell PIPA premmie tshirts "Born before my time" to raise money for PIPA $15 each sizes 0,2,4,6,8 in a choice colours,
always available. Find us on the Internet www.pipa.org.au or on Facebook PIPA (Preterm Infant's Parent's Association)
